adesklets Hacks
I’ve contributed a few desklets to the
adesklets
project. Feel free to download and play with them. You’ll need to make sure you download adesklets, and then the sky’s the limit.
asimpleclock
I was really frustrated with trying to get gdesklets working on my venerable
computer at work when I discovered adesklets. I really liked it, but there
were only a couple of demo modules available. So, to get my feet wet, and
because no one else had written one, I threw together this very simple digital
clock, simply enough called “asimpleclock”.

acountdown
A simple little countdown (or count-up) desklet that displays the time
remaining (or elapsed since) a specified date. Right now it’s pretty
simple–just text, all one size and color. A prettier display is coming soon.

A simple little apm battery monitor that I hacked together while at PyCon 2005 so that I could know when I needed to plug my laptop in.
