Tonight something new happened. Tonight, I had to define a word for Mike. And, it was a non-wine related word!
The word was jamcracker. I learned the meaning of this word about 6 years ago back when I was in the venture capital world. And not because of my extensive logging knowledge.
A jamcracker is the person who has to go out on the river and break up the log jams.

Whereas I thought that a jamcracker sounded delicious, maybe with a little brie tucked in between, a glass of bubbles to wash it down…
That’s what I was thinking. =)
In what context did this come up, though?
I remember my “first time” with
evil_fizz … the word was doppleganger. I’m not sure there was a second time (excluding scientific/technical terms). She, however, has probably taught me at least several hundreds of words by now.
