It turns out if your password expires while you’re on vacation, Outlook decides to stop running your filters.

How convenient.

    Microsoft should have named the program LookOut!

    I can’t even clean them up efficiently because it chokes while trying to select or delete more than a few hundred at a time.

    I was able to back up all of my server-side stuff (calendar, rules, non-crap from my inbox, etc.) and just had our IT guys nuke my entire account. Deleting a few hundred to a thousand emails at a time (the most Outlook seemed comfortable selecting before it started to choke) was just taking way, way too much time.

    Of course, it took until about 4pm to convince our IT guys that that was the best course of action… so I got a wholllllle lot done today.
