It’s bad when I have multiple people tell me I haven’t posted in a while. If you haven’t guessed, things are a bit busy right now. For us in the wine biz, from the week before Thanksgiving to the end of the year is crunch time. Between parties, gifts, etc. it has been crazy selling wine.
To make matters more crazy we are known all over town for this processed cheese horseradish dip. I now firmly believe that you are not a westsider till you are addicted to it.
Does it taste good, yes. Have people had it for the holiday’s for years, yes.
Should you order it ahead of time like you do with a butcher or baker, yes.
Do people get REALLY pissed when you say you’re sold out, yes.
I’m strongly thinking of finding a helmet for work tomorrow morning.
In other news, with DIA being closed for several days the in-laws are arriving on Christmas Eve instead of today which has made the schedule quickly change. Just about everything fits, but the force theorem will be used for a few things.
It’s a bit weird, I’m done with gift shopping, wrapping, decorating, my end of the cleaning (someone needs to clean the mess he made in the kitchen), grocery shopping, Christmas cards, floor polishing, medical appointments, etc. And I’ve been done with most for a while. So I’m ready for Christmas. Does this mean I can open my gifts now?
With my crazy work schedule and prepping for the holiday studying has come to a stop. Need to finish the plan for my HUGE exam in June, review for my smaller exam in January and finish two papers by the end of the month and the last paper in January. Oh, yeah, and start studying french, grow the business, etc.
There will be some interesting wine news from me coming out in the next few weeks once I catch my breath.
On a final note, I heard “Dominik: The Italian Christmas Donkey” played at Trader Joe’s the other day, since than I can’t get the song out of my head.

No, it does not mean you can open your gifts now, unless I also get to open mine.
