or at least slow it down enough to drink sparkling wine.
Things have been a bit crazy in our house. Between work, school, German class, travel for school and everything else, it’s been a bit batty.
The goal for the fall:
– pass all three of my exams in November in one try,
– turn in one paper,
– pass and stay awake for the first level Master Sommelier class in a few weeks,
– have time to enjoy trip to San Fran,
– start running again,
– most important, keep sanity between now and exams in November
In prep for the exam, it’s sparkling wine time in our house! Me getting glasses of wine blind, doing a full write up and guess what it is, than enjoy rest of the bottle with dinner. This wil be going on for the next few days.
I also need to do this with spirits and fortified wines. If anyone would be willing to share some of there hard liquor (about a shot worth) I would be very greatful and will repay with wine.
Speaking of travel for school, last weekend in New York I had the best dinner at I Trulli. Wonderful Puglia Italian food, handmade pasta and a kicking wine list. They are also associated with Vino, an all Italian wine shop that carries a ton of small producers (I only recongised a few labels) and they import most of there stock. I will be going back to Vino and I Trulli when I go back to NYC in a few weeks.

Heh. Did you get the royal carpet treatment? Robert used be employed by Vino…did he tell you try them?
Yes, Robert told me to check them out a while ago, hence why I visited. They treated me very well. So well that two cases followed me back to Ohio.
