I’ve been totally stressed out by work lately, which means that, at some point, my head exploded and I found myself with a desperate need to play with Photoshop for a while. Thus: a crapload of new LJ icons!

    cute. :-)

    suggestions:
    i’d put the text behind wash’s head layer, so the “f isn’t on his nose.
    (and serenity’s font is “papyrus” just in case you were curious and wanted to tie it in or something. and if you don’t have it on your computer, and i’m willing to bet you do, but if you don’t, just say the word.)

    Yeah, I was in a hurry when I was doing that one.

    I have Papyrus, but I largely hate how it looks in 100px x 100px images. Thus I haven’t used it for anything. I think the only place I’ve ever liked it is painted on the side of Serenity. ;-)

    I ended up re-doing this one (since it was a “quick and very dirty” I didn’t even bother to save the .psd originally!). A little re-crop and changing of text and it seems better now.

    It’s too bad his face is so hard to see at 100×100 px. He’s making a great “eww, I smelled something” crinkly-face.

    I’m starting to enjoy Jayne a lot more than I ever expected to.

    Of course, I also have the “Fruity Oaty Bar” song on my phone now, so I think I might have a problem. ;-)

    and yeah, i’ve gotten complately sick of papyrus after seeing it everywhere. i loved it when i first discovered it a year or 2 ago. but it’s EVERYWHERE now.

    (and it works okay if you have few letters and just use caps. i.e. here)

    and i’m going to snag your piracy one. hehe.

    IIRC, it first gained fame in the logo for the “Crocodile Hunter” show.

    Now I see it on all the Asian-style wall hangings by the checkout line at Bed Bath & Beyond (you know the kind — “Peace”, “Healing”, even “Serenity”–Joss should totally sue their asses).

    Looks good on the side of a spaceship, though. :-)
