I was going to write some more about my impressions of the film, but I’m too jumbled right now. Suffice it to say that you should see it, soon, and on the biggest screen you can find. Peter Jackson “gets it” in every way that George Lucas has shown he no longer does. Any doubts about Jackson making anything significant after Rings can safely be put to rest. Kong is audacious, dazzling fun. Amazing. Jaw-dropping. Creepy. Beautiful. Heartbreaking. Wow.
And when I have the inevitable nightmares about being attacked by giant bugs, I’m sending my therapy bill to Jackson. *shudder* Bastard.
