Traffic Report

So for all you boys and girls out there wondering how the roads are, here’s a brief update.

Unversity Circle - SUCKS ASS! Call for sled and horses cause that’s probably the only way you’re getting home.

East Cleveland to downtown - SUCKS! Drive slow and pray the others around you do also.

Inter-belt - Not bad. Roads clear, easy driving, just remember the bridge is frozen.

90 W - No problem

Lakewood - Main roads clear, side streets not bad, slow down on the speed.

Rocky River - Main roads clear, happy driving

Westlake - Main roads totally clear, speed away, side street being cleared as I type.

So, for the first snow of the season during the work week, I’m happy it’s on a Friday and an especially easy Friday. I should go get my allergy shot today, but there is something poetic about being inside snuggled up with the cats when it’s coming down as hard as it is.

I’m so jealous! I’m practically at the top of the world and we’ve hardly had any snow at all, and the weather spent nearly all of November above freezing, and I feel like I’m being cheated out of a real Helsinki winter!

(easy for me to say, though, since I don’t drive ;) )

hm. Thankfully, the train I ride doesn’t seem to have slowed down at all. I hope it stays that way!

I drove up the hill from my office to get gas, drop off dry cleaning, and grab lunch.

The gods must hate me, to make me plan on running errands TODAY. I second that horse-and-sled suggestion. It would have made the trip more pleasant and half the time. And hey, then I wouldn’t have spent that time shivering in misery next to the gas pump that didn’t work. :P

i, too, am jealous. i was so happy yesterday when it actually snowed for a few minutes here in seattle. nothing stuck where we live. but i’ve seen some cars driving around with an inch or 2 on their roof.

it’s funny, having spent my formative years in cleveland, how people out here totally freak out when it snows just a little–stocking up on food, gas, etc. if we ever do get any good snow in the city, it usually melts in less than a day. and then there are the local news channels. WINTER BLAST 2005!! heh.
