Twenty-Eight

Twenty-eight doesn’t really feel all that different from twenty-seven.

In fact, it barely feels like a birthday at all.

Our CEO did hug me and loudly sing “Happy Birthday” right to my face, though. That was a bit… uh… different.

I think I’d be a little freaked by the song/hug bit. but I hope you enjoyed your day in spite of it!

Y’know, for some reason, I thought you were older than me. Hmm…

dangit! How’d it get to be the third already, and how did I not already send you a great big “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!” ?! Bleah. I wonder if there’s ever any hope of me being on time on these things.

Anyhow - happy birthday! I hope it’s fantabulous an’ schtuff! :)

As a friend of mine said when I was worrying about getting older… don’t worry, I’ll always be older than you are!” (is that really a good thing, for me?) ;-)

    May 28 be awesome. =)

I felt the same way on my 28th birthday. In fact, had you not mentioned that it was your 28th birthday, I probably couldn’t tell you at this moment how old I was.

But even if it’s not a particularly exciting number, happy birthday!

It was simultaneously a strange mix of uncomfortable, embarassing, hilarious, and kind of nice. While it has been nice to hear from people (thanks for the card, by the way!), no one has made, in person, what I would term “a fuss” about my birthday in, gosh, at least an age… So what if it’s my balding, Jewish, late-30’s CEO? (At least I didn’t catch him during one of his Nerf crossbow sprees… He apparently has a strong belief in having fun.)

It definitely altered my take on the day, that’s for sure.

Heh. Well, Happy Birthday none the less. I hope the year ahead is a good one.

On a side note: Master Yupa! Yay! Reminds me I should probably pick up Nausicaa now that it’s out on DVD.
