On second thought, let’s not go to Camelot; it is a silly place

Time to be active

I’ve signed up for Cleveland’s Race for a Cure on Oct. 11. It’s only a 5K Run/Walk. I’ll be walking it. (Can’t run, bad knees.) For $20 you get a t-shirt and money goes to a good cause.

About Darn Time

September 15th, 2003 2 Comments

At long last, you may now waste CPU cycles and precious, irrecoverable moments of your life at the new website.
It’s not “done done” yet, but it had reached a point of being complete enough to launch. I was also not feeling creative enough to crank out loads of copy and new content lately, so […]

Behold!

September 14th, 2003 3 Comments

After a couple months of planning, we tore apart my side of the office today. I’ve gotten everything reassembled and running again, and I think it’s a definite improvement.

I now have a window view.

I only have to rotate 90 degrees to talk to Liz instead of 180.

The Skandia shelving units are now bracketed securely […]

My iPod is Psychic

It gave me VAST’s “Touched”, followed by NIN’s “Heresy (Version)”, and now KMFDM’s “Leibesleid”.
May the light of all that is good and holy forever shine on Steve Jobs for bringing me a mind-reading music player that knows what to play when I’m pissed off.
Okay, off to go drinking and blowing stuff up at Dave & […]

I finished The Silmarillion last night. Whew!
It actually picks up quite a bit toward the end once lots of people start getting killed off, and the world gets turned all topsy-turvy. And the very beginning of it isn’t hard going either. But the middle… the long, long middle… is a thing of […]

Golf and the Decline of Modern Society

September 11th, 2003 2 Comments

I always know when four o’clock on a Thursday comes around during the summer, because what seems like about half of the office leaves to play golf. Well, not half the office, but a sizeable chunk. I’ve gotten over the fact that us non-golfers don’t get to leave early to go play games […]

It’s Amazing How…

…something as simple as a nice dinner can make you feel so much better about life in general.
Though I suppose that could be the wine talking.
We went to try out Nemo out in Avon, and there was much dining happiness on the patio. Liz had a tomato salad and the escarole special; I had […]

It’s been another funtastic day of hitting my head against the immovable, unresponsive brick walls that are the partners I have to “work” with. Bleah.
I killed a little time by hacking together some changes to IDS, the opern source photo gallery project that I use. It’s an altogether minor feature tweak, but it […]
