On second thought, let’s not go to Camelot; it is a silly place

Golf and the Decline of Modern Society

I always know when four o’clock on a Thursday comes around during the summer, because what seems like about half of the office leaves to play golf. Well, not half the office, but a sizeable chunk. I’ve gotten over the fact that us non-golfers don’t get to leave early to go play games with our friends. What really bugs me is that the person who scheduled me into a four-thirty conference call and is supposed to be the person running the call has also checked out for the day to go tee off with all the cool kids.

Harrumph.

I initially read that as “God and the Decline of Modern Society”… which could be taken a couple of ways. :>

Anyway, a big fat “Ew!” to irresponsible golfers!

I once interned at a place where everybody had their golf schedules posted on their office doors. That was truly frightening.

I’d leave early to go play minigolf, though. That would be fun! :)
