Reading update

July 29th, 2003 2 Comments

This summer I wanted to read a lot of books. So far I have read, Fellowship of the Ring, HP5, Great Tastes Made Simple, What Einstein told his Cook and I’m now through the first part of Fast Food Nation. Any suggestions on what to read next?

Since Last Time

It’s been a couple of days since I meant to post, so here goes!
Saturday we took Christine to Swings & Things. Luckily, she’s now taller than the tallest minimum-height line, so we didn’t have any ride restrictions. We went on the go-karts a couple of times, played mini-golf (and for once in my […]

Neff is back and there’s going to be trouble

July 18th, 2003 1 Comment

Raymond Kenneth Neff is the Laboratory’s new chief information officer, succeeding Richard Kendall, who has retired.
Neff most recently was chief information officer at the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, R.I., where he is credited with creating an information-technology strategic plan and a strengthened information security program. (This just scares me.)
This makes me […]

Are We There Yet?

July 18th, 2003 Leave a Comment

This entire work week has been hurry up and wait. It’s killing me. I have all these projects to juggle, and can’t make any progress on any of them because I’m locked out of files by higher-priority projects and scheduling conflicts. It’s amazing how exhausting simply staying awake all day can be […]
