On second thought, let’s not go to Camelot; it is a silly place

Score One for the Inanimate

I thought I would declare a minor victory today in that I finally picked up a four-disc jewel case from the local record store, thus empowering me to burn masters of the mix CD that I’ve been tinkering with since last summer. But instead, when I got home and fired up my recording software, it decided that the four files I actually cared about should be mysteriously corrupted, and that the software should behave unpredictably. This left me with one zero-byte file and three files that had 69-minute pauses between each track, and which would crash the program if I tried to save them, or close them, or do much of anything.

So, my inanimate nemesis, you win this round. But I’ll be back, and then you’ll be sorry.
