So as you have all heard by now the hostage situation at PBL ended and only one person died.
Technically, my office is part of WSOM, but most are in denial about it. Our office is split, 1/3 feel bad about the situation but don’t really care, 1/3 feel bad and do care, but aren’t going to do anything and the last 1/3 care and are trying to help. It’s weird that no one really wants to do much about it.
Today WSOM had a WSOM only bonding time to talk with everyone, see people, sort of a networking hour to say, “Hi glad your alive. Let me know if I can help.” I went over to it, most people are doing OK. Some are very visibly bothered, most are hiding it well. The short of it is we are all very lucky this guy wasn’t after killing a lot of people, cause he could have very easily.
The one takeaway point I have from this is enjoy each day to the fulliest.
