Friday I ripped up the floor the powder room. Destruction is now done.
Saturday, ran errands with Mike, started preping the walls to be painted, Mike bought me flowers, went out to dinner and saw Bill Cosby. Lots of fun.
Sunday, it’s Easter, and for someone who used to be very involved with the Methodist Church, I did NOTHING related to Easter. Finished preping the bathroom walls for painting, cleaned the bathtub, got one coat of primer on the walls, napped, round up old computer stuff for the old computer round-up, fixed two fans. And it’s only 6:30.

What exactly is the deal with Methodism? I know not of the differences between all those denominations….
Basic beliefs in Methodist is there is a God and Jesus Christ, he rose from the dead, etc. Other than that, it’s pretty much up to you. There is a “guide book” that a group of people in the church got together and said this is what we recommend, but it’s all really up to you.
Methodist churches, in my (limited) experience, are fairly decentralized (no papal figure telling all the ministers how it is) and so vary widely from congregation to congregation. The churches I’ve interacted with have had an open feeling focused on the fellowship between the members and not the dogma; church services tended to be very musical. I don’t think there’s a lot of dogma about homosexuality, though to my knowledge drinking and gambling are both frowned upon (which distinguishes the Methodists from, say, the Catholics, who like a little bingo with their wine). Women can be ministers and all ministers can marry, if I remember correctly. Overall, probably one of the better Christian denominations for a liberal (and hence one of my favorites
).
