Well. I had an almost totally frustrating day, replete with CVS and copy machine misadventures and headaches, and got nearly nothing done at work. But in the hour between 5 and 6, Dave and I got our new dev environment switched over to a new set of core utility modules that I had written, and everything works, or at least compiles and runs without breaking too badly.
Consequently, I did not have to spend the whole night slaving over my computer, and could instead spend the night tinkering with the new distro version I installed over the weekend, and then got to eat a nice dinner with Liz.
So! It is with great pleasure that I would like to announce that I am drunk on a Wednesday night, absolutely LIT. We had a bottle of “Grateful Red”, a Pinot Noir from the Wilammette valley in Oregon (a state noted for its Pinot Noirs… yum!) Needless to say, it went well with dinner, and I am pleased as punch with the selection. I have to love any bottle of wine which states on the label that, “the first duty of wine is to be red“.
Thank heaven for fermented grape juice!

There was no fermented grape juice involved in my evening, but there was creative drink-mixing based on available ingredients. Jim and I opted for take-out Indian, mixed drinks and Tremors which was on TV to help us relax. Nothing like good food and a bad movie!

Hey, that’s 1 step better then the Linux kernel hackers. They declare something finished only after it has compiled cleanly (cleanly meaning as many warnings as you want) into the kernel! HA! ;-P
